Hudson’s Bay High School

Vancouver, Washington

The SkillsUSA Construction Trades Program is an after school program with a focus on leadership and job preparedness skills.  From residential electrical and plumbing, to carpentry framing, masonry, and HVAC, students participate in hands-on project based learning.  They build a foundation, frame a wall, and install systems replicating a construction project.

Lake Stevens High School

Lake Stevens, Washington

The SPEC Life Skills Program helps students prepare for the real world.  Students are presented with functional lessons that help them lead a more independent life outside of the classroom.  Topics include cooking, budgeting, public transportation, social skills, and workplace readiness.

Gowan Science Academy

Yuma, Arizona

The Gowan Agricultural Program is designed by middle school students, who meet weekly to learn about the impact of agriculture in their daily lives.  They study water issues, food scarcity and animal development.  Their findings are then presented in the classroom and includes an all-school Agricultural Day.

Prairie High School

Vancouver, Washington

The FRC Robotics Program competes annually in fixed time challenges for designing, building, and programming a robot to do specific tasks in an arena vs. three opposing robots.  Design involves engineering with CAD, prototyping for tests, then fabrication and assembly.

Castle Dome Middle School

Yuma, Arizona

The CASTLE Program prepares rising sixth grade students on their career pathway by developing a broad range of workforce competencies including initiative, collaboration with a group to solve a problem, self-agency, backwards planning, time management, and writing and presentation skills.

Snohomish High School

Snohomish, Washington

The Snohomish Drone Program introduces students to the exciting world of drones.  Students practice flying principles on team building software, then begin programming and flying through obstacle courses and district sponsored racing events.
